imworx has launched numerous brand-new products onto the market since Park World editor Becci Knowles visited its headquarters in May 2019, all of which push the boundaries of immersive technologies.
Last summer, the company launched its very
fi rst Immersive Superfl ume ride, partnering with Interlink to combine its immersive tunnel technology with a water fl ume ride. Upon entering Simworx’s immersive tunnel section of the ride, the boats are fi xed upon a highly dynamic motion base using a unique inter- locking system. Completely immersing riders is a huge curved 3D projection screen that throws them right into the centre of the action.
“This world’s fi rst installed into Trans Studios caught the eye of many with its inventive ride concept and remarkable execution, spurring a fl urry of interest from other park operators,” explains CEO, Terry Monkton.
Following its opening, at IAAPA Expo Europe Simworx launched two other brand-new products - the AGV Dark Ride and Mini Flying Theatre. The AGV Dark Ride, which reaches speeds of up to 2.4 m/s, garnered a lot of talk within the industry as the company showed off its potential in factory demonstrations, with the ability to roam freely along a pre-programmed path with no tracks and an integrated dynamic 3DOF motion base. The AGV’s also use quick charging
technology to provide power to the vehicles during the onboarding process, which allows them to be free of awkward power cables or overnight charging.
A lot of work behind the scenes At the beginning of this year, Simworx offi cially completed the installation of its very fi rst Mini Flying Theatre, produced for Bao Son Wildlife Park in Hanoi, Vietnam. “The Mini Flying Theatre brings this kind of attraction into the reach of smaller operators, offering a more accessible price and also a smaller overall footprint than a full-sized fl ying theatre, but with the same cutting- edge ride technology being utilised,” says Terry.
