PW: What did it mean to you to win this award?
AA: I was very surprised – and very grateful. I am very proud to be part of this industry, and a recognition from what I lovingly call my ‘attractions family’ means a lot. Especially in a dark year like this.
PW: Why do you think the judges chose you?
AA: And that’s a good question. Not entirely sure. But I hope it is because of my involvement in the various associations, that glue this very dispersed and diverse industry together. I believe very much that we can all learn from each other. And that the more you invest in the industry community – the more you get back.
PW: Will you be taking part again next year?
AA: Absolutely. Best of the Best - Tivoli Gardens
New for 2020, particular category was not open to entries, instead our excellence judges were tasked with each nominating a ride, attraction or park, introduced at any time, that they believe represents the very best that the industry has to offer. This year’s Best of the Best recipient is… Tivoli Gardens!
Michala Svane, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Tivoli, said: “In a year that has been challenging for so many - including our industry and Tivoli Gardens, we are honoured to receive this recognition for our work and win the Best of the Best category.
