Technical Park mourns death of Renzo Martini

R

enzo Martini, founder of Mel Park (now Technical Park) and father to Fabio and Christian, passed away on Saturday 28 November at the age of 79.

Renzo was the founder of Mel Park, the amusement company which became known as Technical Park once he passed the baton to his sons, Fabio and Christian.

Fabio and Christian continued to work with the same passion and values, bringing the brand out on top all over the world, with high quality manufacturing and the highest levels of safety. Building from an agricultural field (the company remains in the same industrial area where many other factories are still based) Renzo was not just one of the key entrepreneurs in the region, but he played an important role in the country, being

one of the historic founders of the Ancasvi in 1987. The national association of the amusement equipment manufacturers, representing the national interlocutor missing at that time, created to drive together the complex themes regarding national and international technical standards for this industry.

Renzo has always been a great worker and even after retirement he could often be seen around the company workshops, side by side with the workers, such was his deep bond of with the people. Renzo’s resourcefulness and leadership attitude also gave birth to a local football team, where the values he believed in, could be shared and passed on to future generations. With the Unione Sportiva Calcio Melara he also obtained memorable successes as president, winning with “his boys”

a promotion championship in 2008, some time before he began a long battle with illness. Technical Park’s Marco Grigilo said: “Here we want to remember him as the generous and true reference figure we have been so lucky to have been in touch with, always ready to listen, to motivate, to help.”
