ix Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey, has opened the Cyborg Cyber Spin, a gyroscope Tourbillon from ABC Rides. Cyborg
Cyber Spin delivers an intense anti-gravity experience as it whirls guests on three axes high above the ground. “Six Flags Great Adventure is thrilled to launch its
newest innovation, an unparalleled, hi-tech ride unlike anything our guests have ever seen or experienced,” said park president, John Winkler. “Cyborg Cyber Spin is the first-of-its-kind in the world, and the perfect addition to our renowned collection of record-breaking attractions. Our new Metropolis section is now home to the most futuristic, jaw-dropping thrill ride in the park.”
The theming draws inspiration from the Super Hero
Cyborg of the Justice League, and Cyborg Cyber Spin features a triple box design. It allows the gondola to spin around three separate axes while rotating forward, backwards and sideways simultaneously up to 70 feet in the air. Seated 24 across with over-the- shoulder harnesses, riders experience a combination of negative and positive gravitational forces and, by night, this new attraction lights up the New Jersey skies
Columbus Zoo expands offering with waterpark attractions
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s 22.7-acre Zoombezi Bay waterpark opened to the public May 26 with a brand new expansion designed and built by Aquatic Development Group, appropriately dubbed “Otter Banks”. The renovation is the latest project in a ten-year period of partnership for Columbus Zoo and ADG, who previously collaborated on a water slide expansion and Baboon Lagoon children’s area. The $3.7 million dollar addition to the park is the
first expansion to the Zoombezi Bay waterpark since 2014. General manager of Zoombezi Bay, John Gannon, said that guests were consistently asking for more space to relax, more slides, and more interactive water ride attractions. Otter Banks was designed to accommodate all these requests as well as accommodate approximately 500 guests at a time in order to alleviate park congestion.

an all-new, dedicated viewing area designed specifically for the show – giving them prime viewing of the experience. Moments from the Harry Potter series conjured by way of spells, roars from dinosaurs in Jurassic World, the adrenaline rush of speed from The Fast & the Furious, and more will come to life in the heart of the Universal Studios Florida lagoon.
