Dynamic Attractions wins Asian contracts
Dynamic Attractions has been awarded contracts worth $73m for two ride systems under the terms of its previously announced five year strategic cooperation agreement with a theme park conglomerate in Asia. Under the contracts, Dynamic

Attractions will be supplying one of its proprietary ride systems to two different theme parks currently under construction. The company has completed the design and manufacturing requirements in two prior contracts. The supply portion of
the contracts will be executed over the course of 24 months.
Additionally, Dynamic Attractions announced three senior
operational appointments to support the company’s strategy to innovate, manufacture and deliver ride systems and immersive attractions for theme parks and major tourist destinations. Cindy Emerick Whitson joins as senior vice president,
business development; Jerry Pierson, executive vice president, operations – US; and Stephen Turner becomes vice president, operations – Canada.

Huss announces first Explorer attraction at Amikoo
Huss Park Attractions has announced that the first project of its Explorer film based attraction will open at Cancun’s Riviera Maya in Mexico in 2019 at the new Amikoo Resort Destination Theme Park, currently being developed and scheduled to open next year. The Amikoo attraction will take visitors on a
deep sea exploration around the seas of Mexico to discover the varied sea life. The Explorer provides the sensation of being
immersed under the ocean by utilising cutting- edge technology, unrestricted views towards a 360° screen supporting large-format images,
suitable sound effects, scents which pervade the ambience and the descending/ascending movement of the rider carrier. A themed boarding area will initially engage
visitors in the adventure. Guests will enter the 70-seat gondola, themed as a submarine, from a docking bay before it sinks into the deep abyss. The ride is accessible for guests with disabilities and wheelchair users. It is suitable for all ages and will provide the venue with a highly flexible attraction that, if required, can be refreshed very easily with a change of media content for a whole new experience.

Hersheypark water park – Breakers Edge Water Coaster and Whitecap Racer. Using four-person rafts, Breakers Edge Water Coaster is the world’s first HydroMagnetic
water coaster with flying saucer turns and the 14th coaster at Hersheypark. Whitecap Racer is the world’s longest mat racer. It features six color-coded racing lanes and a competition inducing racer timing system. The new attractions are located between Shoreline Sprayground attraction and Intercoastal Waterway lazy river.
