Entertainment One. A key objective of the planning process, according to Paulton’s, was ensuring that the original and new parts of the land blended perfectly. “This is something we are very proud to have achieved.” “Peppa Pig’s popularity continues to grow and many new
episodes have been created since 2011. The extension has given us the opportunity to introduce new characters, sights and scenes into Peppa Pig World,” explains a park representative. “Since Peppa Pig World first opened on April 9, 2011, the attraction has proved very popular, and extending it was a natural decision. This has allowed us to introduce two new exciting rides that provide additional capacity to this popular area of the park.”
The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride
was created by German-based designer and builder of amusement rides Mack Rides, and takes families on a tour around the new extension of Peppa Pig World, offering fantastic views across the whole themed area. Seated in individual ride vehicles themed as coaches on a monorail, the journey starts from the top of the Queen’s castle, a signature point of the attraction, and winds around above the walkways and attractions below. Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club is a boat ride created by
Metallbau Emmeln, also German, a specialist in custom- themed attractions for some of the world’s largest theme park developers. The ride allows children and parents to hop aboard themed boats and go for a cruise along the new water route around Peppa Pig World, discovering Pirate Island along the way.
Peppa Pig World now covers nearly four acres, with Mack Rides’ monorail providing views over the whole themed area
