anopy is an idea developed in lockdown by successful franchisor Sarah Charles (pictured), who also owns successful child-led holiday club franchise, Fun Fest, which she launched in 2014 and


franchised in 2017. The first Canopy Nursery opened in Wembley Park in 2021 followed by Canopy Shrewsbury in 2022, and Canopy St Albans will join the growing franchise when it opens in Spring 2023. Canopy is a real family business, already attracting


the attention of potential franchisees who want to work together as a family unit and are exploring the idea of running a business together. Typically, says Sarah, one member of the family has childcare experience and the other has a


business background. So the two come together in perfect harmony in a nursery franchise. She confirms: “This is a really special kind of business to run – because it is so family focused. It is not a surprise that our three franchisees are two couples and a father and daughter and that they are all running successful businesses. “Family is extremely important to our franchisees, as it is to me. So this ethos is a core of the business that we are building. This is a franchise business by families, and for families.” A nursery owner for 20 years and having


worked with children and families for so long, plus being a parent herself, Sarah brings a wealth of experience to Canopy Children’s Nurseries.
