What did you do before franchising and what prompted you to make the change? Near the end of my corporate career, my focus shifted towards business transformation. I’d worked with decision- makers to create a clear vision moving forward, re-positioning a distribution-based business into a franchise model. During that time, I came across ActionCOACH, and they were a name that stuck in my mind up until the moment I had the chance to change the course of my career.
What training and support did, and do, you receive? The training was great; however, I tend to learn better by putting training into practice! After graduating from ActionCOACH University I was keen to get out there and share the news of my business launch. From our Burton-based office, I reached out to local business owners requiring support, especially as we were still amid the pandemic at that point. The business has grown naturally
from referrals, and it’s how I see our growth in the near future; I’m focused on bringing in clients when it feels like the right time, to ensure we continually deliver our Great to Work With business promise. What makes it so manageable

is the support I continue to receive, specifically from my aster oach, who has gone above and beyond to give us the best start possible. I learned more in the first year with ctionO than I did in the final years of my corporate career.
How was trading in the beginning and how is business today? I’ve enlisted the help of my wife Vanessa, and our daughter, Francesca. Vanessa works on attracting potential clients on a part-time basis, Fran focuses on client relations alongside running our social media accounts. Together, we’ve generated a healthy monthly client income in excess of £20,000 – over-achieving on our original business plan.
How has life changed since you launched your franchise? With the foundations set, I’m ready for the next phase. I’ve been able to create a business that not only supports me financially but personally too. Its a far cry from my lifestyle during my corporate career, giving me much more freedom to enjoy the things I love.
