Company insight

P Supply is a member of the DMK Group, the largest dairy cooperative in Germany – it develops, produces and markets spray- dried emulsions for the global food industry. With an extensive product portfolio, the company is able to provide customer-specific solutions for a broad range of applications, including baking, savoury, beverages, ice cream, dessert and nutritional applications; DP Supply innovates to meet customers’ needs. For the past few years, alongside a dairy-based portfolio, the company has developed a wide range of non-dairy alternatives for vegan applications. “Together with Emsland Group, we are processing pea protein isolates, as well as other alternatives to dairy. We have been following the non-dairy trend for several years already,” says Sierk Weisser, managing director of DP Supply. Customised solutions, reliable delivery, flexibility, technical know-how and customer support are key factors of the company’s success. Since 1992, DP Supply has successfully understood the importance of these elements by earning the trust of clients in their home markets, as well as selected target markets around the globe.

The rise of the vegan diet Nikos Vogiatzis, head of global R&D at DP Supply, comments that, “plant-based alternative diets are becoming a lifestyle rather than a trend – the quest of everyday consumers is to maintain a healthy lifestyle, increasing the demand for nutritious food that’s easy to prepare, convenient and portable.”

characterised or marketed as sustainable, it should consist of environmentally friendly and locally sourced products.

Plant-based ingredients Unsurprisingly, the same changes can be traced when it comes to ingredients. The consumption of products that are dependent on dairy ingredients is either

decreasing, or shifting more towards plant-based alternatives. In addition to the environmental concern, there are several other reasons why a sustainable diet is proving favourable. Plant-based products often contain a reduced number of potential allergens, are convenient to use, and allow for a more balanced, healthy diet; all of which contribute to the increasing importance of plant-based alternatives in the global food industry.

Supplying solutions

DP Supply responds to its customers’ needs and provides custom-made solutions to meet the constantly growing demand for plant-based ingredients. “We offer a full range of products, and as a B2B supplier of spray-dried emulsions, we bring a widespread portfolio of functional, sensory and nutritional solutions for the food industry,” says Sierk Weisser Krepetin, managing director of DP Supply.
