So, if you’re hungry for success and not Case study
Chloe Walsh, Barista trainer
I joined BaxterStorey aged 22 as a barista at Channel 4. Within six months, I’d been promoted to head barista and placed second in BaxterStorey’s Barista Championship. Eager to learn even more, I joined the team at Amazon as head barista, where I was tasked with re-building the barista team after the pandemic. Pushing myself out of my comfort
zone, I competed in my first UK Barista Championship and placed sixth in my regional heat – what an incredible experience! I’m now BaxterStorey’s UK barista trainer,
working alongside head of coffee development Jana and beverage partner Dan, who are both incredible mentors. They both gave me the confidence to compete in this year’s UK Coffee in Good Spirits Championship and (crazily!) I came fifth in the UK! In between training our teams and for
competitions, I love getting stuck in at events, from the People Awards (a career highlight!) to the launch of our new Beverage Academy. Every day is different in the world of coffee!
