you should be open to continuous learning and networking to develop relationships with industry professionals.”
What are the best ways to set yourself apart for a promotion or career advancement? “Set clear goals regarding what it is you wish to achieve, where you want to end up in your career and the steps that need to be taken to achieve that. Seek feedback and act on it. “Write things down: keep a diary or notebook to look back on as an aid in keeping focus and planning your next step.”
What advice would you give to school or college leavers? “Do not set the expectation that you will immediately be successful. It will take time, real-life experience and work on your interpersonal skills to become a true success. While academic achievement is a strong building block, experience is what truly counts in career progression.”
