Christianity in Europe in 1500
In 1500, Christianity in Europe was divided between the Catholic religion and the Orthodox religion. The Orthodox religion was found mainly in Greece and Russia, while the Catholic religion was more important everywhere else. In Catholic countries, the Pope in Rome was the head of the Church, and Catholic cardinals and bishops had great power in their countries.
