Procedure: Prepare phase A, heat it up to 80-85°C and stir with magnetic stirrer for 1 minute. Prepare separately phase B and homogenize with a suitable dispersion unit (Silverson), to disperse well the pigment. Add the ingredients of phase C to phase B and heat it up 75 - 80°C, mixing with anchor stirrer. Add very slowly the phase A to phase BC mixing with anchor stirrer at 250 rpm. Stir phase ABC with anchor stirrer for 2 minutes at 250 rpm. Homogenize the phase ABC, using a suitable dispersion unit (Silverson) for 2 minutes. Cool down the bulk under gentle stirring with anchor stirrer at 50 - 100 rpm. Add phase D and homogenize using a suitable dispersion unit (Silverson) for 1 minute.

Procedure: Weigh Phase A1 and bring it to the mixer. Add Phase A2 and homogenize at 400-500 rpm for 2 minutes while pre-dispersing Phase A3. Add Phase A3 to the mix. Once fully dispersed, warm the mixture to 80°C. Keep it between 80°C and 90°C for 10 minutes at 530-630 rpm. In parallel, weigh Phase B and warm it to 85°C. Emulsify Phase B into Phase A at 85°C and 1050 rpm for 4 minutes. Reduce rpm to 720-820. Use a cold bath to bring the temperature down to around 50°C. Remove the cold bath. When the temperature is below 50°C, add Phase C and increase rpm to 980 for 3 minutes. Use a cold bath again. When the temperature is below 40°C, add Phase D and Phase E.

Procedure: Premix glycerin and xanthan gum and add to the water. Add remaining ingredients one at a time, while mixing and heating to 80-85°C. Combine Phase B ingredients and heat to 80-90°C. Add Phase B to Phase A and mix at high speed. When emulsion is smooth, begin cooling and pour into containers. Properties: Stability: Three months at 45°C, three months at room temperature, three freeze/thaw cycles.
