CALIFORNIA SCC SUPPLIERS’ DAY PREVIEW
educational talks that run throughout the day. In addition, it is always an amazing time catching up with friends across all occupations in the industry. Jumping right into that all educational talks during open hours for the show will be happing in the exhibition hall, so no more running out and back into the show. It will be a simple jaunt over to stage to listen to our amazing speakers. The magic starts the day before the show
with the National hosting two CEP courses. The first will be around Mastering Makeup Formulations and the second will be a newly developed course focusing on Product Development. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled as full details will be out soon and registration will open shortly after. From there, Day 1 will kick off at 09:00, with
a keynote from Dr. Michelle Wong joining us all the way from Australia! Once the show opens at 10:00, we will have speakers diving into current trends and technologies around exosomes, longevity, and sensitive skin formulation. For the first time ever at California Suppliers’
Day, we will be hosting a Future Cosmetics Workshop. A committee made up of Aaron Peterson from P2 Science, Paul Lussman from Obagi, Dr. Kerry Hanson from UC Riverside, and I will be creating a program for students and young professionals to take their formulation game to the next level! On Day 2, the Independent Beauty
Association (IBA) has begun coordinating a day to ‘Meet Your Regulators’. With invited speakers from CARB, DTSC, OEHHA, and NAD, it will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with a variety of different organizations that often regulate the Cosmetic Space. It has been so rewarding for me to volunteer
in the SCC. Not only has it allowed me to make friends I know I will have for the rest of my life, but I love being able to give back to the community that has already given me so much. Whether it be seeing the excitement on a
student face when they make their first stable formula, or having someone come up to me after a monthly meeting and saying the talk they saw changed the way they formulate or think about product development. There is a piece to giving back that is indescribable and I am excited to see what people have to say about what we have cooked up at this year’s Suppliers’ Day!
Honouring the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward - A few words from Velvet Arriola, Afterparty Chair Honouring the past, acknowledging the present and looking forward to the future…this perfectly sums up my experience as part of the Suppliers’ Day Committee and After Party Chair. Grateful for the mentors that have worked on this in the past because they made it look super easy, the support I have in implementing my vision for this grand-scale rodeo party and the opportunity to envision unlimited possibilities for the future. And with that being said, I am definitely
looking forward to the CASCC Suppliers’ Day Afterparty the most. I mean who would not

A community in motion CASCC is more than an organization; it is a vibrant community dedicated to collaboration, learning, and growth. Suppliers’ Day is our signature event—a biennial gathering where ideas spark, innovations flourish, and connections deepen. As we prepare for 2025, I am humbled and honoured to lead this effort alongside passionate, talented individuals like Ryan and Velvet with Angie as our advisor. Together with the entire Cali SCC Board of Directors and its volunteers, we are committed to making this
event the must-attend destination for the West Coast personal care industry. To our attendees, please consider giving
appointments to your ingredient, packaging, and equipment suppliers. We are here to support your daily efforts by bringing innovation and solutions to your doorstep. Stop by each booth, learn what they have
to offer, see what you can implement into your work where it adds value or cost savings. To our members, volunteers, attendees, and supporters—thank you. An extra special appreciation for all our
