upside down this year. Dragon Train takes all of the elements from ‘Hold and Spin’ games that are great, builds on them and then wraps it in this amazing audio visual package that customers will absolutely love. And we don't just think that, we know that because we've seen it in the markets where it's been released so far. So lots of expectation on that game, but we're also confident that it will deliver.
Mike McKiski: Tere are so many games to pick from, especially on tables, where we have some new product on our ETGs, like Roulette X and some new variations of side bets. However, I think right now, the buzz has been on our table game progressives. We've been showcasing the blackjack progressive with Blazing Sevens, which is the fastest growing progressive in Europe. And that’s drawn a lot of customer excitement. I think you'll start seeing a lot more of these throughout the region, because, as you know, it's all about the games.
And another Light & Wonder title drawing the crowds is Frankenstein.
Simon: Yes. It’s another strong title from the Studio X team. Great playability, a wonderful, entertaining riff on a favourite theme, and one we think will do very well. Not just across our US business, where we're seeing it penetrate the market in Europe, we're seeing Frankenstein play well across parts of the rest of the world as well. It’s an exciting franchise and one that we think will do us great things over the next 18 months.
What's setting the trend for slots in EMEA right now?
Wayne: EMEA is a strange region in some respects, where if you look at some of the strongest games, they're quite different to other areas of the world. We tend to have games that when they land here, they stay, and they'll stay for years and years and years.
the market turn a corner. Te Philippines continues to go from strength to strength and where we're really dominant and the No.1 player in that space, is Australia, where our market share and ship share, is a key target for us and our investors. Each year we're knocking down those targets and driving a more impressive, faster growth, high contest business down there. It's super exciting for us.
What's your product of the show and why?
Simon: Te one that everyone's talking about, of course, is Squid Games. We debuted it at G2E and it’s now hitting the stands at ICE and drawing huge crowds. However, for me, it has to be Dragon Train from where I sit across our international region. Tis is the game that really, more than any other, has taken our business to new heights and a new level; with new penetrations and more delight for our customers. So there's a ton to choose from, but it's got to be Dragon Train.
Wayne: I’m going to agree with Simon. My favourite product of the show is Dragon Train. It's done very, very well for us in the Australian market and we’ve been really looking forward to seeing it arrive in Europe. It's very much the game that we think is going to turn the market
Wayne Ellard Managing Director, EMEA Light & Wonder
My favourite product of the show is Dragon Train. It's done very, very well for us in the
Australian market and we’ve been really looking forward to seeing it arrive in Europe. It's very much the game that we think is going to turn the
market upside down this year. Dragon Train takes all of the elements from ‘Hold and Spin’ games that are great, builds on them and then wraps it in this amazing audio visual package that customers will absolutely love.
Duo Fu Duo Cai is a series of games that we launched eight or nine years ago, which are still very strong. Jin Ji Bao Xi is a game set that we launched five or six years ago. It remains very, very strong. However, it's great to see that customers are now looking at different styles of games, such as Jewel of the Dragon, which has worked well for us.
We've got diverse games like Goldfish. Again, that's worked very, very well. Moneylink has performed strongly, and we have high expectations for Squid Game, which is both an enormously fun game, is extremely well presented, and it's also different. It's a little bit like playing a computer game. You go through different levels of the feature, which we hope will resonate with players who enjoy that sort of game. Certainly the operators are backing Squid Game, so hopefully that translates to the players as well.
Tis year we are starting to set new and different trends as we constantly raising the bar to make sure that everybody's chasing us.
How important is the addition of the Cosmic cabinet to this year’s portfolio?
Wayne: Cosmic is a really important cabinet. It reflects how we've changed as a company.
