Sportradar Scores Bundesliga Partnership


Sportradar has received the rights to sublicense video content from Germany’s top two divisions after expanding its agreement with Bundesliga International.


Te extended agreement continues Sportradar’s status as the official provider of betting and streaming rights for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.

UK - Patir upgrades visitor ICE experience Patir Design showcased its latest range of casino gaming chairs at ICE London 2024, revealing that the company has big plans for visitors to its booth in Barcelona next year.


“The response from customers at ICE has been very positive, especially to our latest line-up of chair designs,” explained Dennys Patir. “We are showcasing the very latest VIP chairs for the first time in London, adding to a production schedule that is working close to maximum to fulfil client orders right now.”


Patir is looking forward to another successful year following installations in 2023 that includes several prestigious casino projects in Europe, for which Patir supplied the complete contingent of chairs.


Asked whether Patir Design will miss the London location for the ICE show, Dennys reflected: “I’ve mixed feelings about the move from London. We’ve exhibited here since 2002, we have a lot of UK-based clients and the city has great connections to all the major business hubs around the world. “However, Spain is also a very important market for Patir and we look forward to meeting customers on our bigger booth at the show next year.”


With production back to pre-Covid levels, Patir is looking forward to an exciting 2024, to working with new and existing customers.


Sweden - Casino Cosmopol shuts doors Following the conclusion of the trade union negotiations, Svenska Spel has closed Casino Cosmopol in Gothenburg and Malmö. For several years, Casino Cosmopol has struggled with profitability due to declining visitor numbers as more and more people choose to play casino online. Despite a series of measures aimed at increasing revenues and reducing costs, losses have continued. The closure affects about 100 employees in Gothenburg and 80 in Malmö.


"For over 20 years, Casino Cosmopol has offered the people of Gothenburg and Malmö an international casino experience, which is now unfortunately coming to an end. Until we close, my colleagues and I hope that our guests will want to visit us one last time so that together we can have a nice end to the casino, says Ola Enquist, CEO of Casino Cosmopol.


Casino Cosmopol is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AB Svenska Spel, which in 1999 was commissioned by the government to offer land- based casino games and establish international casinos in Sweden.

Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, and Sportradar have announced the extension and expansion of their global partnership for an additional six years, through to the end of the 2031-2032 season.


Over the course of the extended agreement, the two parties will collaborate on bringing to market innovative data and audiovisual products that enhance the offering for fans around the world. Te current partnership was scheduled to conclude at the end of the 2025- 2026 season. However, with this early renewal, Sportradar receives the rights to sublicence video content from Germany’s top two divisions to its global network of sportsbook clients.


It can collect and exclusively distribute live match data for betting purposes, collaborating with Bundesliga and its stakeholders on an aligned approach for media data (from the start of the 2025-26 season). Sportradar will provide betting and streaming rights for all matches in the WOW Virtual Bundesliga, the DFL’s esports offering and expand the product and enhance the scope of Sportradar’s Virtual Sports Bundesliga, the company’s one of a kind interactive gaming experience.


Finland Playtech wins Veikkaus tender


Playtech has won the tender in a Public Procurement Process for live casino games, emerging as the chosen partner for Veikkaus, the Finnish state-owned and monopoly operator.


Playtech and Veikkaus have forged a long-term framework agreement, paving the way for an extensive partnership. With an initial duration of six years and the potential for extension, this agreement now encompasses the realm of Live casino games.


Building upon their successful existing relationship, which encompasses online casino, online poker, retail VLT machines, and a casino management system, Playtech and Veikkaus are excited to extend their collaboration to the Live casino segment. Veikkaus will offer Playtech’s network Live games to its players as well as exclusive games from a new Veikkaus-branded studio, which Playtech will support to establish

Te joint work around studio design is already well underway, where Playtech is working closely with Veikkaus’ product, design and brand marketing teams, contributing with its extensive knowhow and experience in setting up unique and exclusive Live studios that capture the essence of the operators’ brand strategy. Te new contemporary- designed Veikkaus studio will feature Finnish-speaking dealers, initially overseeing a range of blackjack and roulette tables, providing an authentic and engaging gaming experience for Finnish players.

Te extended agreement continues Sportradar’s status as the official provider of betting and streaming rights for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 (outside of the DACH region) and includes other DFL properties such as the German Supercup and each season’s relegation playoff matches, as well as enhancing Sportradar’s position to collect and distribute official data.
