Fremont, CA — Asteelflash USA Corp., an EMS provider, is ex- panding its capabilities in Mexi- co by investing in new SMT lines for its facility in Tijuana. In re- sponse to strong demand from North American customers, the company is adding two addition- al SMT lines, effectively dou- bling its capacity for PCB as- sembly. The lines are scheduled to


be ready for manufacturing dur- ing the third quarter of 2018. The Asteelflash Tijuana fa-


cility is located just a few miles from the U.S. border. It has ex- perienced tremendous growth over the past two years.

Mexico is becoming a more suit- able alternative to Asia, particu- larly from a logistics and supply chain perspective. The Tijuana fa- cility offers a range of highly flexi- ble manufacturing and near-shore fulfillment options. The newly ex- panded site provides services from board assembly to finished prod- ucts for the automotive, electric vehicle, aerospace, Internet of Things (IoT), industrial, con- sumer, and medical markets.
