The Naprotek Way: Quality and Commitment without Compromise
By Jayne Carthy, Director of Strategic Business Development, Naprotek, Inc. I
n the crowded EMS space, compa- nies jockey for position and try to find even the slightest edge to
stand out among the competition. For one Silicon Valley-based compa- ny, Naprotek, Inc., a woman-owned small business (WOSB), the differ- ence comes down to “passion.” Naprotek provides PCB assembly and system integration products pri- marily to mission-critical OEM cus- tomers.
“Passion makes the difference
in this business,” says CEO Najat Badriyeh. “Daily, I walk the floor to check on our employees and see how they are doing. I check the cus- tomers’ products and see that things are moving smoothly. As a result, the DNA of the organization has always been about customer care and cus- tomer service.”
Dedication to Customers This may not sound all that
unique, but the company boasts 99.8 percent quality against return mer- chandise authorizations (RMAs) and a 99.3 percent on-time delivery rate. This, coupled with state-of-the-art equipment and processes, is the com- pany’s formula for success. Naprotek has grown primarily by word of mouth, mostly based on
recommendations from high-reliabil- ity industry customers who have been with the company for upwards of 22 years. Many of its employees
“Our customers know we will do
whatever it takes to get working prod- ucts in their hands on time,” says Badriyeh. “And, our employees know
and everyone is a part of this, includ- ing our customers.” Naprotek continues to grow and
remain profitable. Profits are shared with employees and the company in- vests in a new piece of capital equip- ment every six months. This allows it to stay fresh with new technology and to provide capacity for new cus- tomers.
The company serves a range of
markets, including military and aerospace, satellites, networking, in- dustrial, medical, and engineering projects/DFM. To support these, the company provides a comprehensive repertoire of advanced services.
