SEMICON West 2020 to be Held Virtually
Milpitas, CA — SEMICON West will be held in a virtual format for the first time in its 50-year history, still expected to feature the world-class talent and leading technologies that have come to symbolize the flagship annual microelectronics conference. The virtual exhibition will be held July 21-23, 2020. Registration is now open and a notification form and detailed information regarding the event are available at
www.semicon-
west.org. “This will be the deepest, most
extensive online global industry event this year,” says David Anderson, president of SEMI Amer - icas and host for the gathering. “As a virtual conference, SEMICON West 2020 allows us to offer our customers — large and small — A-list speakers and a full exhibition experience, with all the content, interactions and net- working opportunities of a physical show, without the associated costs and time of travel.” Visitors will be offered the opportunity to hear from and inter-
MD&M East Relocated from NYC to Philadelphia
Santa Monica, CA — Putting the health and safety of attendees and exhibitors first, Advanced Manufac - turing East (ATX/MD&M East) has been relocated from NYC’s Javits Center to the Pennsylvania Conven - tion Center in Philadelphia. Given the ongoing develop-
ments surrounding COVID-19, and at the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO), the expo has been rescheduled to December 1-3, 2020. The venue is an excellent space in the heart of Philadelphia and less than two hours away from the origi- nal New York City location. The annual six-in-one event,
which includes MD&M, ATX, Design & Manufacturing, East Pack, PLAS- TEC, and Quality Expo, highlights innovations from 3D printing to cobots on the factory floor. The expo puts attendees and exhibitors in contact with many inno-
vative companies and industry lead- ers. Advanced Manufacturing East is scheduled to include more than 540 companies, such as DENSO, Nordson Corporation, Qosina, and Phillips- Medisize, offering solutions across robotics, medtech, design, plastics, packaging, and quality. Visitors can explore four hubs of
industry-specific education, with expert-led sessions covering med - tech, packaging, smart manufactur- ing, and 3D printing. More than 6,800 attendees are expected to visit the show, offering the opportunity to mingle with peers and find potential business partners across medical manufacturing, electronics, automa- tion, robotics, and packaging. act with visionaries and executives from across the microelectronics sup- ply chain and its markets. Presen - tations will highlight emerging appli- cations that demand the industry’s design and manufacturing expertise. Virtual exhibit booths through-
out the detailed, interactive exhibit hall provide the opportunity to net- work and gather insights just like on a physical show floor. Attendees can stop by SMART technology pavilions and exhibitors’ booths to view video content, download product informa- tion and converse with supplier rep- resentatives. Co-located content will include
the imec Technology Forum (ITF) and the SOI Consortium Forum. Sponsored pavilions will include SMART Manufacturing, SMART MedTech, SMART Mobility, and SMART Workforce. Attendees can also join techni-
cal sessions, participate in one-on- one or group meetings and interact with colleagues and industry repre- sentatives in networking areas. All interactions provide ready access to reporting and analytics post-show for exhibitors. Recorded sessions and exhibitor booth content will remain available on demand 24/7 for weeks Continued on next page
