ASM Offers Free Access to Digital Learning Platform
Suwanee, GA — In March, ASM launched its Time4Academy campaign that gives companies and individuals three months of free access to the contents of the ASM Academy digital learning platform. By the end of the month, more than 1,200 users had already used the offerings to deep- en their knowledge of SMT production with ASM equipment. The Time4Academy program offers proactive
and wide-ranging support for customers and part- ners, enabling them to use mandatory production stops and home office hours to acquire knowledge and expand their skills in the field of SMT produc- tion. In only a few days, more than 1,200 new users registered on the program’s website, and by the end of March, over 3,500 online sessions had been streamed. Among the most popular topics
were seminars on the SIPLACE Pro programming environment and cre- ating component descriptions in the SIPLACE vision system. Many elec- tronics manufacturers also used the time for maintenance work, as indi- cated by the strong demand for relat- ed video instructions and tutorials —
ITW EAE Releases Momentum II HiE Printer
Minneapolis, MN — ITW EAE has launched its Momentum II HiE, a single-rail stencil printer with servo motors driving its x, y and z axes. Faster than steppers, servos drive the vision gantry at higher speeds, increasing throughput and cutting cycle times. Momentum II stencil printers
are designed for high throughput and accuracy. MPM’s rigid frame is weld- ed for low vibrations and major as- semblies are driven by precision ball screws, providing high repeatability and reliability over time.
many of which employ virtual reality. The ASM Academy offers more than 150 mod-
ules that cover all areas around SMT production with ASM equipment, which are continually grow- ing. To support the campaign, platform partner Do- cebo provides 70 additional features at no charge. The academy offers information regarding opera- tion, maintenance and technical modules, as well as product introductions. Individual modules can be completed in any order and repeated as often as nec-
essary. Contact: ASM Assembly Systems, 3975

Momentum II HiE stencil printer. The printer has an advanced
print head that contains a high-pre- cision load cell with closed-loop pres- sure control for precise and consis- tent squeegee force. Tighter perform- ance tolerances result in repeatabili- ty and high yields. Machine vision inspection occu-
pies a large chunk of typical print cy- cles, which is typically due to the physical motion of system compo- nents. Since the new printers use servo motors, rather than steppers, the vision gantry is able to move
more quickly and efficiently. Contact: ITW EAE, a division of
