Flex: New Mini Industrial DC-DC Converters
San Jose, CA — Flex Power Modules has added to its portfolio of minia- ture DC-DC converters for industrial applications. Available in single- or dual-output versions, the PUC-2B series delivers an output power of up to 2W, with no minimum load required. The new family of isolated, unregulated DC-DC converter mod- ules incorporates such features as output short circuit protection and reinforced insulation. Housed in a compact SIP7 pack-
age, the new converters achieve high efficiency, typically up to 85 percent, with a 12V output under full load. Capable of reliably operating in tem- peratures that range from –40 to +203°F (–40 to +95°C), the robust converters are excellent for harsh environments common in industrial applications and have MTBF ratings of 12.9 million hours. The devices are safety-compliant to EN/UL 62368-1. The company is an ISO 9001/14001-
certified supplier. Flex recently introduced the
PUA-1A, PUC-1B and PUC-1M, a portfolio of new families of miniature
PUC-2B series DC-DC converter.

Yamaichi Intros Connector for Optical Transceivers
Munich, Germany — Yamaichi Electronics is now offering its SFP28 host connector for data networking optical transceiver applications. The connector offers a data transmission rate of 56 Gb/s PAM-4 modulation per channel. This connector is used in server
and switch applications. It is fully compliant with the SFF-8084 and SFF-8402 standards as an interface connector to plug in a 0.03 in. (0.8 mm) pitch card edge connector. It is mechanically compatible with other generations of SFP connectors, such as 10 and 16 Gb/s and can be used as a replacement, with the same footprint. The connector has 20 pins. All
