Schaumburg, IL — Further enhanc- ing its popular digital readouts (DROs), HEIDENHAIN’s ACU-RITE brand has now made available down- loadable upgrade software with new features. This upgrade is available at no additional cost and is designed to assist users of current-model ACU- RITE DROs to be more productive and efficient. ACU-RITE’s current family of
DROs includes models 100, 200 and 300. The new software version is titled “v1.4.0” and is available for download from the company’s web- site. Highlights of the new version include axis Q, zoom timeout and “send position” soft key. The letter Q has been added to the axes’ names list, specifically at the request of cus- tomers using DROs on optical com- parators. This feature is available for DRO 100, 200 and 300. A zoom timeout time delay has
been added to the dynamic zoom and highlight feature so users can set the
Richardson RFPD Supports Wolfspeed Power Module
Geneva, IL — Richardson RFPD is now offering and providing full design support for a new silicon-car- bide power module from Wolfspeed, a Cree Company. The CAB425M1 - 2XM3 is the newest addition to Wolfspeed’s XM3 power module plat- form, developed to maximize the ben- efits of SiC, while keeping the mod- ule and system design robust, simple and cost effective. With half the weight and vol-
ume of a standard 2.4 in. (62 mm) module, the XM3 power module max- imizes power density, while minimiz- ing loop inductance and enabling
amount of time that the zoom or character color change stays active
when an axis stops moving. If the user starts moving another axis
before the delay time is reached, the delay is ignored in about half a sec- ond. This is available for DRO 200 and 300. The “send position” soft key has
been added so users who want to record the screen displayed can send the data by USB to their computer program of choice. The computer pro- gram that HEIDENHAIN offers is the QC Wedge software program. This software is available at the company’s website at no cost. This feature is
available for DRO 200 and 300. Contact: HEIDENHAIN Corp.,

simple power bussing. The XM3’s SiC-optimized packaging enables 347°F (175°C) continuous junction operation, with a high-reliability sili- con-nitride (Si3N4) power substrate to ensure mechanical reliability under extreme conditions. The CAB425M12XM3 targets
applications with maximum current requirements at high switching fre- quencies, focused on power density, including vehicle fast chargers, unin- terruptible power supplies, motor and traction drives, and smart-grid
or grid-tied distributed generation. Contact: Richardson RFPD,
