37 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

Assemblies for Medical Devices

Elgin, IL — During this unprecedent- ed time of global crisis, HARTING has aligned its internal processes to supply medical device manufacturers as quickly as possible. For many years, the company has been manu- facturing complete connectivity solu- tions for these devices. All of the company’s manufac-

turing, storage and delivery func- tions are secured by separation in space and time, as well as many hygiene measures. HARTING also began ramping up its stock levels in the last few weeks to be able to respond in the best possible way to supply chain disruptions. Specially formed backup teams serve to safe- guard key areas when necessary. The company has also set up a coron-

avirus task force and a pandemic team to coordinate the measures.

XP Power Releases 600W Fanless Power Supply

Sunnyvale, CA — XP Power has released a new series of convection- cooled, 600W AC-DC power supplies. The series delivers full load power under a wide range of conditions, without additional cooling. The UCH600 series is suitable

for use where no forced air is avail- able, or where fan noise or the ingress of dirt is a concern. This includes medical devices, as well as those requiring BF patient protection that must operate silently. Also, the supplies are useful for ITE or indus- trial electronics applications in envi- ronments where dirt ingress would be exacerbated by forced air cooling. The power supplies meet

EN55011/32 Class B for both con- ducted and radiated emissions with significant margin, making them a low risk for integration and system approvals for end-use equipment. Class C harmonics compliance makes the UCH600 excellent for lighting and display applications. The series offers high levels of

efficiency up to 95 percent, minimiz- ing waste heat and ensuring that the power supplies deliver their full rated power at ambient tempera- tures up to 122°F (50°C), even at low line input. At 158°F (70°C) a full 300W of

power is available without any form of forced air cooling being required. For equipment designs where some forced air cooling is employed, a

cations, including IEC60950-1, IEC/ EN/UL62368-1 and IEC/EN6 0601-1 3rd edition. The compact and low-pro- file power supply measures 8 x 5 x 1.6 in. (20.3 x 12.7 x 4 cm), giving an impressive power density of 9.5 W/in3. Its U-channel construction and low profile allow for easy and flexible installation into a wide range of appli-

cations. Contact: XP Power, LLC, 990
