Barcode data such as ingredient ID can be fed directly into the application workflow. The net weight of components as well as the net and gross weight of the final mixture is automatically recorded. Results are printed in a clear, concise format and can be stuck into a laboratory notebook for future reference, creating traceability. MS-TS balances also offer graphic representations such as bar and pie charts for quick review of recipe composition.

New Analytical and Precision Balances Announced
Adam Equipment has expanded its line of balances into a new orbit with the launch of the Luna. Available in both analytical and precision models, Luna’s design combines an elegant form with intuitive function.
A generously sized LCD display features large, 24mm-tall blue digits against a black background, allowing the user to easily and efficiently discern results. To allow use across multiple regions, Luna features a multilingual text and display capability.
Navigation is simple, with colour-coded buttons that assists users to perform functions with minimal training.
Luna offers a wide variety of applications for everyday lab use, such as weighing, parts counting, percentage weighing, dynamic/animal weighing, checkweighing and net total weighing.
Luna’s analytical models offer capacities from 80g to 250g with a readability of 0.0001g, while its precision models boast an impressive range of capacities from 220g to 15000g with readabilities from 0.001g to 0.1g. A built-in capacity tracker helps to guard against possible overloads.
Weighing units vary by model, though all include g, ct, GN, dr, ozt, dwt, tl.T. tl.H, tl.S, T and custom units. Certain models also include mg, N, oz, mm, kg, lb and lb:oz.
Data sharing and connecting to devices like PCs or printers is simple: for effortless connectivity, Luna comes with standard USB and RS-232 interfaces.
Luna can output reports formatted to meet Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines, simplifying recordkeeping. Options include models that utilise external calibration using weights or internal calibration, which allows automatic calibration after a set interval or if the temperature has changed.
Robust ABS plastic construction and a stainless steel pan help make Luna both easy to clean and durable enough to withstand demanding lab use.
