Fabulous inspiration for fashionistas

DON'T MISS A GREAT DANE IN PARIS

Danish artist Niels Hansen Jacobsen’s sculptures and the indubitable mark he left on Paris are being celebrated at the Musée Bourdelle. Jacobsen, a contemporary of Bourdelle, spent a decade in Paris between 1892 and 1902 and it was in the City of Light that he truly perfected his craft. In the first exhibition dedicated to Jacobsen, the Bourdelle acknowledges the essential position he deserves in the laboratory of formal inventions in the Paris of the 1890s. The retrospective includes works from around the world as well as from other locations in Paris, offering visitors a unique perspective on his macabre and bizarre style which played with Nordic mythology and Andersen’s fairy tales.  Until May 31 www.bourdelle.paris.fr

MAN RAY AND FASHION While the work of Man Ray has been the subject of innumerable exhibitions, the angle of fashion has not been explored fully. The Musée de Luxembourg now takes an in-depth look at his shoots for the likes of

Vogue and couturiers such as Vionnet, Chanel, and Schiaparelli. April 7 until July 24
