2020 Wyoming All-State Choir
Dr. Ryan Beeken serves as Director of Choral Activities at Wichita State University where he conducts the Concert Chorale and Women’s Glee Club, teaches choral conducting, and oversees the choral area. He received bachelor’s degrees in music education and vocal performance from Drake University and graduate degrees in choral conducting from Michigan State University. Beeken’s choirs have performed at State, Regional, and National ACDA Conventions and for
state and regional NAfME conferences. Beeken’s engagements include over 50 All-States and Honor Choirs in nineteen states, the Czech Republic, and Austria, and many invited presentations for symposia across the United States and in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2020-2021 Beeken will conduct All-States in Alaska, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Wyoming and international festivals in Dublin, Ireland, Muscat, Oman, and Tallinn, Estonia. Prior to his appointment at WSU, Dr. Beeken served as director of choral studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, taught at Michigan State University, and taught elementary, middle school, and high school vocal music for sixteen years.

All-State Choir Accompanist
Tim Schoessler, All-State Choir accompanist, is a concert pianist from Powell, Wyoming. Tim holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Keyboard Performance from the University of Wyoming where he studied piano with Dr. Theresa Bogard and organ with Dr. Steven Hoffman. Tim began studying piano at the age of seven and organ at the age of twelve. He started accompanying soloists and choirs, and was active performing throughout his teens in Wyoming. He is a noted performer and accompanist in the state and region.
