Northwest Notes - Division President’s Message continued from page 10

as the music. In this orchestra, we have charter members who have played in the group for fiſty-eight years. Tat’s pretty incredible and special. It’s the type of lifelong community we all need and hunger to be a part of.

Tere is joy and internal satisfaction in being part of a group, in working hard, and in knowing that those with you are also putting in the time and effort to excel. Tis, along with the musical giſts that each individual has honed over the years, combines to make a meaningful impact. Tese are the times that feed our souls. I hope that you are all finding opportunities to share your musical talents and giſts in meaningful ways, and that you take the time to enjoy the joy that it brings to others as well as yourself.

Not all mountains are big. But, even the small victories need to be celebrated, if only with an internal smile. What’s something that you can celebrate today?

NW Division news As we begin our plans for the 2021 NW Division conference in Spokane, we want to hear from you about what you would like to have included. What we’d like to include is YOU, so let us know what would make this conference meaningful for you. Please share your ideas with your state officers, or directly with me – barnessc@edmonds.wednet.edu.

We’re updating the session proposal process and group audition process to make it more user friendly. State presidents will soon be sharing details on how you can submit proposals for sessions and audition your groups to perform in Spokane.
