pl spellbinding A

ace to visit

The secret’s out, each visit’s a blast and a mysterious place has spells to be cast…

Billed as an Apothecary to the

Magical, an unusual and enchanting business supplying quirky and quality goods and services to magical beings (non-mortals to you and me) has been nominated for a

top tourist industry award without so much as waving a wand in the direction of judges. All will be revealed as darkness

falls on Monday 12th November when Grimm & Co will join other nervous competitors in Harrogate to discover if it’s scooped the accolade of Small Attraction of the Year in the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards. As a relative newcomer, which

may have been stealthily founded in 1148 but only shed its cloak of invisibility a short time later in 2016, Grimm and Co will be up against some very tough competition. But woe betide the challengers to

the title, need we say more? Staff at Grimm’s couldn’t be

happier with the nomination as the

hauntingly good news follows a string of successes after it recently won accolades in the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber annual awards. Christmas is a time for families…

This time next year, you could be experiencing your own family unit thanks to

We currently have children of all ages, sibling groups and children with additional needs waiting for a forever home

What is adoption?

As adoptive parents, you will provide a permanent family for a child who cannot live with their birth parents and take on all legal rights and responsibilities

Can I adopt? Adoption is open to more people than you may think

If you can provide a loving, stable home then we see potential in all applicants You can be:

• Single, in a relationship or married • Hetrosexual or LGBT • From any ethnic or religious background • Working, unemployed or retired • Homeowner or renting • Already have children or not (adoptive children should be at least 2 years younger than any other children)

If you are over 21 with adequate space in your home and no previous convictions of certain offences, you have a good chance of being accepted

How long does the process take? Adoption is a positive, two-stage journey that takes around 6 months to complete

Stage One – 2 months • Checks and references undertaken

• Learning and training sessions supported by your allocated social worker Stage Two – 4 months

• Regular assessments to prepare you for the adoption panel • 4 training days including birth family contact and family finding information • Suitability recommendation • Family finding to identify children whose needs you’re able to meet You will receive continuous support once matched with the right child for you
