MALTBY ROTHER VALLEY LIONS
Sleigh runs
Throughout December, Santa and his dedicated elves from the Maltby Rother Valley Lions Club will be out in force for another year as they make their way around the area for their annual sleigh runs.
Most evenings, the team of volunteers will be giving their time to see all the good little boys and girls and collect donations to plough back into the community. Last year, thanks to the generosity and kindness of the hundreds of families who gathered in their droves to see Santa along his routes, the club raised almost £12,000 which has been used to help those less fortunate in our area.

LIGHTS SWITCH ON Thursday 15th November 4pm - 6.30pm All Saints’ Square, Rotherham Live music and entertainment from Rotherham’s young singer-songwriter Alfie Sheard, 2018 X-Factor contestant Georgia Burgess, Rotherham Youth Choir and the cast of this year’s panto, Dick Whittington.
The lights will be switched on at 6pm Extra treats will include walkabouts Jacks
of Frost and Father Christmas with his sleigh There will also be a gift market along Effingham Street from 10am until 7pm
WHISTON CHRISTMAS
LIGHTS SWITCH ON Saturday 1st December 3pm - 6pm Whiston Village
Santa is preparing his sleigh to bring him down from the North Pole and will be taking up residence at the Parish Hall on Well Lane Whiston
Bring the children to see Santa in his grotto in the hall where there will also be a brass band playing, market stalls and farm animals outside.
The Golden Ball will also be holding their annual Christmas market in their car park with rides and carol singers.
