Wednesday 10th October, 7:00pm In a two-part illustrated programme, Michael C. Tarver discusses the British attempts to reach the South Pole by Scott and Shackleton and compares these with Amundsen’s success. After the interval, enjoy a viewing of the 45-minute film ‘The Crossing of Antarctica’.
HENRY BLOFELD Friday 12th October, 7:30pm The cherished golden voice of cricket has decided to celebrate his retirement by touring the country with a brand- new show, jam-packed full of unheard anecdotes from on and off the pitch.

MAESTRO Saturday 20th October, 7:30pm The Galloping Maestro and friends return to the Dartmouth Food Festival this year to serve up an evening’s entertainment of fine dining and even finer singing.
CORDELIA WILLIAMS (PIANO) Saturday 3rd November, 7:30pm From the sultry passion of Rachmaninov, and Prokofiev’s whimsical, other-worldly ‘Fleet- ing Visions’, to the meditative intensity of Chopin and the Estonian Arvo Pärt, this recital explores the soundworlds of Eastern Europe.

THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD Tuesday 16th October, 6:00pm Enjoy the world premiere of Peter Jackson’s stunning new film featuring fully restored and colourised footage of the many faces of WWI, followed by a satellite Q&A with Jackson hosted by critic Mark Kermode.
FALLEN ANGEL – Tuesday 6th November, 7:00pm The exciting novel Fallen Angel draws on Major Ken Hames MBE and Keith Turn- bull’s wealth of technical and military expertise to create an enthralling and believable plot. They will share their experiences and answer audience questions as well as sign books after this fundraising event.
TONY HAWKS – Saturday 17th November, 7:30pm Radio 4 regular and bestsell- ing author Tony Hawks will be sharing hilarious anecdotes about his life, his wacky bets, as well as singing the odd comedy song - and tak- ing audience questions.
