overall occupancy numbers. We have received very few complaints about the lack of visitor spaces following this change and those we have received have been from visiting boat owners who would

Many of these berth holders had helpfully informed the office about their intended absence so we were able to place visitors in these
available berths. We will continue to work towards fully utilising our overall berthing spaces to help reduce our waiting lists and also hopefully keep charges down. We recognise that it will always be important to do this in a controlled fashion to ensure that there is space to meet visitor demand and to meet the needs of those seeking a winter berth. For those who are taking their
boat out of the water – please don’t forget to tell the office; again utilising this capacity helps with our optimisation planning! Over the next few weeks, as the visitor numbers drop, the river staff will come out of their summer watches. We will continue to retain weekend and evening hours coverage to meet anticipated periods of high water taxi demand. To date, the water taxis have
carried 39% more passengers owing to both the fare reduction and the popularity of the Noss visitor berths. Premier are also helping to fund the water taxi as we gather statistics which should help us to understand and then meet future demand. We will provide more detail in our Annual Report and at our Annual Public Meeting in December when we will be able to announce the budget decisions for 2019.
