Thank you to all those who came along including some of the photographers, to help us to celebrate our ex- hibitions new home. The exhibition is part of
Cork Foundations Diaspo- ra strategy in partnership with Cork County Coun- cil. The Foundation aims to strengthen the connec- tion between people who have left Ireland. To mark the launch of the exhibi- tion we hosted a reception last Tuesday 31st

Bark for ARC are warm- ing up for walkies and are holding their official launch on the 8 August at 7.30pm on the prom. Last year over 300 dogs (and their best friends!) participated in the walk in aid of Cork ARC House Cancer Support Centre in Youghal. Partic- ipants don’t need to bring a dog to join in, and every- one is welcome. This year’s main event takes place on Sunday, 9 September at 2pm. The starting point will be Green Park and the route will take in the boardwalk out to Aura and back. It is hugely popular event where animal lovers can involve their four leg- ged friends in a fun activity which is for a very worthy cause. Registration takes place on the day itself from 12noon, and costs just €10, and sponsorship cards will soon be available from var- ious outlets including Tom Scott’s, Just 4 Paws, Maria O’Connor and For Mutt’s Sake grooming parlours and Coleman’s Butchers on

Members) said, “We’re de- lighted to have our special bandanas again, this year, kindly knitted by Ita Beech- er. The walk is great fun and the dogs enjoy meeting up, as much as the owners.
