Cobh Rescue Horses


held two vital fundraisers last week, a 5km sponsored dog walk and a table quiz. The walk started at


the


High Chaparral on Sunday, July 22 and approximately 40 people and their dogs took part. It was a beautiful


morning and the Walk was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The table quiz took place in Molly’s Bar and Steak- house, Midleton on Friday, July 27. A combined total of €681 was raised and each cent is needed with a


recent doubling of animals in their care. Add to that, of course, the recent long heat wave, lack of rain and fodder crisis which has had a crippling effect on the funds available for the re- habilitation and rehoming


of horses and ponies. Con- gratulations to all involved. Speaking with The East

participants in both events and those who sponsored prizes for their continuing support. The events were a great success and for the all the help we’ve received in organising and holding them, we are very grateful.”
