Open Week 2018 A very successful Open
Week drew to a close on Sunday with the 2 Person scramble proving extreme- ly popular with the ladies and gents alike. We had a steady stream of visitors and members throughout the week and the ongoing heat wave added to the en- joyment of a varied list of singles and team competi- tions. We received numer- ous positive comments on the condition of the newly refurbished bunkers and the excellent condition of the greens. Our thanks to our greenkeeper and our tireless volunteers who en- sured that everything was up to the mark. To our loyal sponsors we say a very special thank you.
Your
banners were on display daily, at
the entrance to West Waterford and also on
the approach to the first tee. Finally we say thank you to the many visitors who sup- ported the various events and to our members who turned out in force. We hope you all enjoyed the West Waterford Welcome and we look forward to to meeting you all again in the near future.
Club Matchplay Events. There
are still a few
round 2 matches outstand- ing in the Quinlan Butchers sponsored
Those must be completed by Friday 3rd
Club Fourball. August.
The Pat Murphy spon-
sored Club Singles is mov- ing along nicely with round 3 matches now underway.

Something for Everyone
at West Waterford With everyone out to get
the most from the Summer sunshine, many golfers may find 18 holes of golf a bit much at the moment. You are reminded that we have a variety of Open 9 hole and 13 hole events each week during the summer months.
Why not come
along, play a few holes and relax under the umbrellas on the balcony with a snack and a cold drink. You are always welcome Waterford.
