St Lucia

Arriving in Bridgetown, there’ll be time to settle in to your friendly home-from-home, Braemar, before you head to St Lucia. The island is home to an array of spectacular attractions, particularly the soaring Pitons; bubbling springs of Soufriere; and Diamond Botanical Gardens & Falls – a starring location in Superman II. In Grenada meanwhile, top experiences include exploring the stunning Grand Etang National Park and a scenic adventure aboard a Rhum Runner boat, complete with rum punches, calypso music and a steel band.
The Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao presents a chance to uncover the UNESCO-listed centre of Willemstad, which is packed full of colonial architecture and pastel-coloured buildings. You’ll then enjoy a relaxing Christmas Day – with all the trimmings – as Braemar sails the tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea en route to St Kitts. The undoubted highlight is sure to be an unforgettable ride on the St Kitts Scenic Railway. Specifically built to transport sugar cane, this route passes old sugar estates, mills, windmills and more, giving real insight into Caribbean history.
Grenada
Next is Tortola, an island famed for its pirating history. There’s the chance to uncover these legends on a scenic boat cruise followed by an open safari bus tour. Grand Turk follows, from where the white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and tropical reefs of the uninhabited Gibb’s Cay are hotspots for sunbathing, snorkelling and swimming with stingrays.
A full day on St Maarten, docked in Philipsburg, ends the year in real style. You’ll be able to unwind on golden beaches; enjoy fine panoramic views over the town from the historic remains of Fort Amsterdam or Fort Willem; or discover the island from a completely different perspective – on a Harley Davidson. That’s not all – a rousing fireworks display will paint the skies over the island to welcome the New Year. It’s an event you won’t forget.
A day at sea to relax and catch your breath kicks off 2019, before you arrive back in Bridgetown, your final destination. During your time in port before disembarkation, chances to admire floral displays at Hunte’s Gardens and go in search of sea turtles during a catamaran cruise are not to be missed.
