Oceania & the Far East
Australia is awash with iconic experiences and you can enjoy plenty of them on this four-week festive cruise. The centrepiece is sure to be the unmissable, legendary New Year’s Eve celebrations that you can capture in Sydney. But that’s not to forget a spellbinding cruise of the Great Barrier Reef; spotting native wildlife on Kangaroo Island; the cultural delights of Melbourne, the ‘World’s Most Liveable City’; and more.

Perth
Your time on Australia’s west coast kicks off in Broome, a beautiful resort town surrounded by picturesque bays, lush mangroves and pristine beaches, before you head south to Fremantle for tours to sunny Perth. Take the trip into Western Australia’s capital for a blend of highlights, including galleries, museums, suburban beaches and pretty parklands.
For a look into Australia’s fascinating history, you’ll visit Albany for an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the first European settlers with visits to the replica of Brig Amity, the Albany Gaol and Patrick Taylor Cottage. A sail along the stunning south coast follows, taking in tranquil Kangaroo Island, where you can spot wild kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and more in their natural habitat, and Melbourne. You’re in for two rewarding days in the
‘World’s Most Liveable City’. Perhaps take time to admire the diverse array of street art; explore the Royal Botanic Gardens; or embark on a breathtaking journey along the winding Great Ocean Road.
After a call at Hobart, Tasmania’s rugged capital, you’ll begin your memorable journey along the east
coast as 2019 ends. Calling into Sydney on New Year’s Eve will offer the chance to experience the city’s legendary festive celebrations, including the spectacular fireworks that illuminate the midnight sky above the Harbour Bridge. Your extended stay allows time to climb the Harbour Bridge, visit the iconic Opera House, relax at Bondi Beach and much more, too. Heading north, it’s on to Brisbane, boasting an exquisite cityscape of architecture old and new. A boat tour along the Brisbane River is a relaxing and memorable way to see the sights. Within reach from here is Australia Zoo, made famous by the exploits of Steve Irwin.
Boudicca will then take you on an epic scenic cruise of the breathtaking Great Barrier Reef. The sight of over 400 coral species, over 1,500 species of tropical fish, and other exotic flora and fauna is sure to inspire as your ship heads for Townsville, where you can see marine life up-close at the Reef HQ aquarium. Townsville is also ideally located for tours to Magnetic Island, home to a large colony of wild koalas. Finally, there’s Cairns, gateway to Daintree – the oldest rainforest in the world.
