The exotic journey of discovery begins in Port Louis, a city famed for its cultural and economic diversity. To see a colourful snapshot of everyday Mauritian life, head to the lively covered market, visit the intriguing Stamp Museum, and marvel at the religious structures – from the impressive Kaylasson Temple to the beautiful Chinese Pagoda. Venture a little further afield to explore some of the island’s breathtaking natural wonders, such as the Trou-aux-Cerfs Volcano and the ‘Seven Coloured Earth’ sand dunes.
Next up is the stunning Seychelles. Spending a full day on both Praslin Island and Mahé, there’s time to tick off the experiences that grab you most. Explore the tropical forest of Vallée de Mai, home to huge Coco de Mer nuts and rare black parrots; and encounter Moyenne Island’s famous giant land tortoises. You can also take your pick from the quintessential Seychelles beaches, such as Anse Lazio and Cote d’Or, or those found on La Digue Island. That’s all before a scenic sailing past tropical Silhouette Island at sunset – an unforgettable spectacle.
Zanzibar’s fascinating history is waiting to be explored
during your day-long call to this beautiful Tanzanian island. Most of the main sights can be found in the historic Stone Town area. The old fort, the harrowing slave chambers, the 19th
century Anglican Church
and Sultana Market are all well worth exploring. Alternatively, relax on the white-sand beaches and snorkel the protected barrier reefs; or tour to the intriguing and tranquil Prison Island.
Then spend a relaxing day strolling around the dusty streets of charming Mamoudzou, or perhaps take in the highlights of Mayotte, including the Indian Ocean’s largest lagoon. Afterwards, step back on board to spend the following two days at sea, soaking up the party atmosphere of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the very best festive food and fun.
Docking in Port Réunion is the gateway to Réunion Island’s sweeping volcanic landscapes, dense forests and beautiful waterfalls. Opt for an inspirational helicopter tour for breathtaking views into the ravine of the island’s active volcano and across the surrounding countryside. All this before you arrive back in Port Louis, from where you’ll head back home.
