The mystique of the classic Arabian adventure well and truly comes to life on this two-week escape. You’ll visit three ports in Oman, with a Dhow boat cruise through the Musandam Fjords among the list of highlights. There’s also an unmissable chance to tour to the Lost City of Petra from Aqaba, before a transit of the manmade marvel that is the Suez Canal leads to Ashdod, and the opportunity to discover the holy sites of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Petra

The ultra-modern city of Dubai – home of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa – is the starting point for your unforgettable voyage. Boudicca will be ready and waiting to whisk you off to Oman, where three cities will showcase the diversity of one of Arabia’s most captivating countries. A call at Khasab offers you the chance to take in the spectacular scenery of the ‘Omani Fjordland’ on a trip into the Musandam Fjords aboard a traditional Dhow boat.

A day in Muscat allows time to marvel at the many treasures of the capital, including fine examples of Arabian architecture such as the glorious Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and striking Qasr Al Alam Palace. The famous Mutrah Souk is recommended too. On Oman’s stunning south coast, Salalah will serve as your gateway to the remarkable, UNESCO- listed Al Baleed Archaeological Park and insightful Land of Frankincense Museum.

In Jordan, another of Arabia’s astonishing lost cities is yours to discover during an overnight stay in Aqaba. You’ll be afforded an opportunity to tour to Petra, one

of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, and explore huge tombs, archways and temples that were carved into the sandstone over 2,000 years ago. Whether you explore Petra by day, or

at sunset, you’re in for an incredible experience. A cruise along Egypt’s Suez Canal, one of the world’s most impressive manmade waterways, will be memorable too, passing through rugged, arid scenes en route to Israel.

Ashdod, your final port of call, is ideally located for day trips to Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Opt for a fascinating tour of Jerusalem’s Old Town to follow in the footsteps of Jewish, Muslim and Christian pilgrims and seek out magnificent religious monuments such as Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall and Al Haram Ash Sharif, which is home to the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa Mosque.

In Bethlehem, a short journey south from Jerusalem, you can visit Manger Square to see the Church of the Nativity, walk on the ground where Jesus was laid down after his birth, and see places of significance from nativity stories.
