From spectacular islands and unspoilt landscapes, to bustling cities and magnificent manmade marvels – you’ll experience the contrasts of Asia to the full. Search for the world’s largest lizard on Komodo Island; be dazzled by stunning Singapore; discover beautiful bays from Phuket; and see awe-inspiring Indian temples – there’s even the chance to visit the iconic Taj Mahal. All this and more awaits, after spending just under a week in Australia.

Komodo Island

You’ll begin this exciting voyage in the charming Australian city of Brisbane, from where Black Watch will sail on to Cairns. The city is gateway to beautiful botanical gardens, tropical rainforests and dense wetland alive with native Australian wildlife. Tours can also be taken to the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Before continuing onwards to Asia, you’ll also discover the delights of Darwin.

A simply unforgettable experience awaits you at the first call of your Asian journey. When the ship drops anchor at Komodo Island you will have the chance to go ashore in search of Komodo dragons – the world’s largest lizard – in their natural habitat; as well as discover the shimmering Pink Beach. In contrast to the unspoilt beauty and tranquillity of Komodo, Singapore offers soaring office blocks and vibrant city life. Experience Asia at its most modern among the maze of skyscrapers in the Financial District; or perhaps visit Chinatown and see the striking Sri Mariamman Temple. Alternatively, you could explore the gorgeous Gardens by the Bay, which showcase a vast array of flora from around the world.

Brisbane

Next on this incredible itinerary is Phuket. A short speedboat ride from this idyllic island can take you to iconic Phang Nga Bay, where the spectacular scenery must be seen to be believed. Be sure to have your camera to hand to capture ‘James Bond Island’ too.

Kochi will be the first of three stops in India. You can visit Kumbalangi to see the famous Chinese fishing nets and sample the unique village culture. Or there’s the chance to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the wonderful white marble wonder that is the Taj Mahal. You’ll then sail onwards to Mormugao, gateway to the historic centres of Old Goa and the Latin Quarter; both are home to colourful old houses, beautiful churches and striking cathedrals. In Mumbai, immerse yourself in all the hustle and bustle of this hectic city during an overnight stay, with time to see famous sights such as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj railway station.

The cruise concludes in the United Arab Emirates where you’ll disembark in glamorous and ultra- modern Dubai, home to the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building.
