A fantastic opportunity to revel in all things classic Caribbean, visiting 10 destinations in two weeks, with all the comforts of smaller, friendlier Braemar to return to in between. You’ll be able to take in the aromas of the ‘Spice Island’, Grenada; explore St Lucia’s lush volcanic landscapes; embark on the journey of a lifetime on the St Kitts Scenic Railway; visit the world’s oldest active rum distillery; unwind on the beaches of Antigua; and more.

Braemar will be waiting for you in Bridgetown, where you’ll have time to sample Barbadian life before setting sail. Perhaps you’ll visit the Mount Gay rum distillery, admire the Georgian-style architecture, or simply enjoy the sunshine at one of the nearby beaches. Then it’s on to Tobago, for Scarborough – your gateway to the uninhabited island of Little Tobago, and the rejuvenating Nylon Pool – before stops at two of the ‘ABC’ islands bring a Dutch flavour to your exploration.

Visit Bonaire to go in search of native flamingos and visit the island’s vast salt flats from Kralendijk; and, on Christmas Eve, call at beautiful Aruba, where the colourful waterside architecture of Oranjestad and the unique Casibari Rocks await.

Christmas Day will be spent at sea, with a festive feast of fun, food and entertainment to enjoy, as Braemar heads for the ‘Spice Island’, Grenada. You’re in for a rewarding Boxing Day in St George’s, where tempting scents of nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla fill the air, and attractions such as the Molinière Bay underwater sculpture park are within reach.

As 2019 comes to an end, you’ll see out the year in style, visiting five spectacular destinations on consecutive days. Your smaller, friendlier cruise ship will guide you to St Lucia, where the soaring twin Pitons, bubbling Soufrière Volcano and Diamond Botanical Gardens are among a wealth of astonishing natural wonders; and to Antigua, an island famed for its 365 beaches – one for each day of the year. Then there’s St Kitts for a chance to ride on one of the world’s greatest scenic railways.

On St Maarten, you could opt to explore the 17th

century battlements of Fort Willem and Fort

Amsterdam during a call into Philipsburg, or join a thrilling catamaran tour. On New Year’s Eve, a full day docked in Road Town affords you time to uncover Tortola’s fascinating pirate history on a scenic boat tour, followed by an exhilarating open- top safari bus adventure, before welcoming the arrival of 2020 with an evening of celebration.

A day at sea to relax and catch your breath kicks off the New Year, before you finally disembark in the Dominican Republic.
