now well and truly upon us Whitegate Village has been hive of activity in the last two weeks.
Car Park Resurfacing The new surface on the
car park is being very well received locally. The job has turned out really well. We would like to thank the contractors, engineers and Cork County Council for doing a superb job on it.
Pier Lights We are aware that there
is an issue with the lights on the pier itself We have reported this matter to the
Lighting Supply Company and are awaiting them to be fixed..
Moorings We have been contacted
by a large number of peo- ple who have moorings in Lower Aghada to advise us that their moorings had been removed recently as part of a mooring review. We

ROADS ACT, 1993 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROAD – L7882 BALLYBANE TO LOUGHANE, SHANAGARRY, CO. CORK
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, and Part 8 of Road Regulations 1994, Article 12 (sub article 6), notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interest of public safety.
Road to be Closed: L7882 Ballybane to Loughane, Shanagarry.
Road Number: L7882.
Alternative Route: From Loughane travelling towards Ballymaloe Beg: L3818 and R629. This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse. Local access only will be maintained on the L7882 as far at the last entrance on either side of the bridge collapse.
Duration of Closure: Friday, 15th
24 Hour Closure.
Reason for Urgent Closure: To Facilitate Bridge Repair Works.
You should note that this Urgent Closure does not facilitate the making of objections/observations.
