NEW GENERATIONS OF SAFETY WORKWEAR EMERGE Even though fluorescent red has been preferred for many years in the wind and offshore industries, Mascot experience a transition in the choice of workwear in the Netherlands. Previously users in these sectors frequently or only choose fluorescent red products. Now there is a shift to products in hi-vis yellow with dark navy contrasts - contrasts that are placed where the products are most exposed to dirt.


Safety is crucial and visibility is


paramount when working in high risk areas. The company wants it to be easy for the users to choose the best safety workwear for their position and to choose workwear with the requested safety class. Therefore, the company has had approved a simple letter system, which provides an easy overview of the different combination options for attaining the correct certified clothing. The safety class and the combinations can be found on a label inside the clothing.


PRESENT AT EXHIBITIONS Mascot is present at industry-specific exhibitions to show off the wide range of products and to clarify for the customers what the company offers to make the customers’ workday even more comfortable and safe.


At the ‘Offshore Energy’ exhibition held recently in Amsterdam, the company exhibited its products for


potential customers from all over Europe. The exhibition had over 12,000 visitors and 90 nationalities were present. In 2017, approximately half of the visitors at Mascot’s stand were from the Netherlands whereas the remaining visitors were international visitors from, for example, Germany, United Kingdom and the Nordic countries. The exhibition was an excellent opportunity for the company to meet existing customers and talk about their current and future needs.
