The Client Representative has the authority to intervene or stop the operation in case of safety, quality or procedural infringements and they will report back to the client on certain agreed matters at regular intervals. The combination of the Client


Representatives detailed industry experience with their vast marine knowledge means the client can rely on SMC to deliver professional, high quality management on-site, from the initial planning stage through to completion of the project.


SMC has developed a bespoke system to deal with daily reports and the collation of operational statistics, with built in live location maps, enabling tracking of all personnel in field at one time. With each user receiving a unique login this enables the client to access instant daily statistics to check the projects working hours and development.


It is commonplace for projects to


present unique and difficult challenges. SMC’s Client Representatives have, and continue to, confront and overcome these challenges. Whether encountered during the installation of new turbines or bad weather at sea, SMC ensures each job is completed to the highest standard.


London Array – SMC delivered Client Representatives to the world’s largest offshore windfarm London Array. The project threw up some unique challenges due to the elevated water depth. This required personnel with a high level of maritime skills and expertise to be the client’s “eyes at sea” and to overcome the challenges that where encountered.

DONG Energy – supplied Client Representatives to DONG Energy’s Westermost Rough project for the first ever commercial installation of Siemens 6 MW Turbines. This project brought about a variety of challenges, including the use of a new installation vessel, all whilst working on the East Coast of the UK throughout the difficult winter months.


Veja Mate GmbH – delivered Client Representatives to Veja Mates Offshore project GmbH, which is Europe’s furthest offshore windfarm and were tasked with delivering highly skilled and experienced


On the spot decisions are needed every day, whether it’s to go ahead with a lift or obtaining weather approval in order to continue to work, Client Representatives are needed to organise all aspects of a project at all times. They are a fundamental element as they ensure that a project is safe, on time and cost effective.
