RENEWABLE ENERGY EXPERT LAW TEAM

PERSONNEL AND OPERATION MANAGEMENT

SeaRoc Group’s marine management system, SeaPlanner has been supporting E.ON’s Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm since April 2013, providing personnel and operation management throughout the construction phase and now during operations & maintenance (O&M).

REDEVELOPED SYSTEM

SeaPlanner has undergone major redevelopment over the last 18 months, providing a faster and more flexible system with the most advanced capabilities that help improve operational efficiency, reduce cost and improve health and safety.

E.ON took the decision to fully upgrade

to the redeveloped system to support its O&M activity on the Humber Gateway project. The system provides a complete management and monitoring solution with the latest features of the software, including personnel and vessel tracking, inductions and certification management.

CERTIFICATION MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

The enhanced certification management solution offers the ability to group personnel certificates dependent on a person’s access level, transfer mode or asset type. This provides additional levels of control for health & safety, allowing E.ON to manage full access control of the site based on certification as well as providing a ‘traffic-light’ warning system for managing certificate expiry.

NEW FUNCTIONALITY

As part of the upgrade, E.ON can take advantage of new functionality that allows the sharing of personnel across sites,

significantly reducing administration time as details for all personnel only need to be entered into the system once.

UNIQUE BENEFITS TO THE HUMBER GATEWAY TEAM INCLUDE…

• Enhanced security – all data transmitted to and from the system is encrypted for additional security measures. This update comes in preparation for the new Data Regulations coming in effect in May 2018

• Stakeholder-wide access – SeaPlanner is a centralised system allowing access by all project stakeholders from any location and at any time

LOCATION

The 219MW Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm became fully operational in 2015. It is located 8km off the Holderness coast in the North Sea.
