3: My next adventure was a walk in the Cheviot Hills. We did the College Valley walk, which is a circular route from Hethpool to Sutherland Bridge. We saw no one else in the time we were there but halfway round I sniffed something new, it was a young Adder snake crossing the path. I let him pass as it was too hot for me to play with him today.

4: A real treat was going to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. It was very peaceful and beautiful. We walked round the priory, passing the traditional fishing huts and on to the castle. Before we left, my owners tried the mead, I just stuck to water.
5: On our final day we visited Amble and then Hadrian’s Wall. It had a traditional high street with lots of independent shops and at the harbour was an area of fishing huts with café’s and shops inside them. We had a delicious lunch at The Old Storehouse at Amble and then a stroll along Amble beach. On our way home, we visited Housesteads Fort and walked along a section of Hadrian’s Wall.

I had a great time, it’s a very beautiful part of the country with lots to do and did I get to play ball in the garden? ...of course I did. I wonder where I’ll be ambling to next?
