MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON TEA

EASTER CELEBRATIONS

On Sunday 27th March we held a very successful Easter egg hunt. All the children and adults alike seemed to really enjoy the event, and luckily we managed to narrowly

escape the elements which was good planning! Of course all chocolates were consumed which saved myself and Carol having to eat it, thanks children!

On Monday 28th March we held our annual Easter bonnet parade in the Owners’ Lounge. What a great turnout for the parade with some fantastic creations from adults and children alike. We would like to say huge congratulations to our adult winner, Victoria Midgely who scooped herself a bottle of wine for her creation. Congratulations to our children’s winner, and our runners up. Thank you to all who entered.

Julie Wall and Sheila Lambshead On Sunday 29th April we also held a charity

Also a huge congratulations to our winner of the Easter colouring competition, Robert McGarraghy and our runners up, Millie Roberts, Imogen Forrest and Hollie Travis-Martin. Thank you to everyone for your entries, they were all so amazing and it was such a hard decision to choose, there were so many. Well done everyone who took part, we look forward to your seeing your creations next year. Hopefully next year we can have an Easter egg competition too, watch this space!

art auction, with raffle and homemade cakes, hosted and organised by owners Julie & Phill Wall and Sheila & Ronnie Lambshead. The event was a great success, raising an impressive £382.31. We would like to thank the organisers for the time and effort they put into creating their art masterpieces, the organisation and also thank you for the delicious cakes they made! With this charity being very close to many

hearts we will continue to host events to raise even more money for them. Let’s raise the bar and give them a fab total at the end of the year!

On Sunday 6th March we celebrated all those very special ladies in our lives, Mums. We celebrated with very tasty treats including scones and chocolate cake. We hope you all enjoyed the day and that you were all well and truly spoilt!

NEWS IN BRIEF: POLITE

REMINDERS SUPPORTING WALKING

WITH THE WOUNDED As I am sure many of you are now aware, this year Park Leisure are sponsoring a very worthy cause which is Walking With The Wounded. Over the last couple of months we have been making every effort to raise funds for this well- deserved cause. On Monday 29th March we held a charity raffle and made an excellent £242.00 towards our charity. We would like to thank all of our suppliers and contractors who donated to our prize draw along with owners who also generously donated prizes. Thank you all so much.

Could we kindly remind you that whilst we are and will remain a dog-friendly park, we kindly ask that in the interests of other owners on-park, dogs must not be taken into the Owners’ Lounge.

Could we please remind all owners that the bins for glass and tins is located behind the laundrette and shop. Could we also ask that no plastic bags or boxes are placed in these bins. To avoid collection refusal we ask that no glass or tinned items are placed in the main general waste bins. The bins for cardboard are also located in the main bin bays.

Could we please remind all owners that portable gas heaters are not suitable to be used in your holiday home, there is insufficient ventilation

in holiday homes for

this type of heater to be used and it is a serious health and safety risk. We recommend using oil- filled radiators should you require additional heating sources. If it is found that Calor gas heaters are being used in your holiday home you will be advised to remove the heater as soon as possible, it will also be noted on your gas safety inspection.

THE WINE CLUB

Our first Wine Club afternoon proved to be a great success and

went really well. As you can see from our photos everyone had a giggle and said they’re look forward to the next event.

AND WE’RE OFF! On Saturday 9th April our owners took hold of the reins ready for the off in our owners sweepstake for the Grand National. The event was so popular that we ended up having to run two sweepstakes! If you’d like to get involved in any more sweepstakes this year, come and tell us your ideas!
