A word from... The Old Storehouse

Well hello, I hope everyone is in the holiday mood now that summer is here, and hope that I will be seeing plenty of you at The Old Storehouse this summer! As you can see from the picture below, I received a hugely sought after accolade at Park Leisure’s annual conference this year, as ‘The UK’s Retail Manager of the Year’ with Park Leisure. I’m delighted to say that this was the proudest moment of my life! Everyone works very hard at The Old Storehouse and on behalf of the team I was pleased to receive the award. It was really is a team effort here and was pleased to be described as a passionate leader. I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who enjoys coming to The Old Storehouse for helping us to constantly improve. Over the next few months we have some

more exciting events at The Old Storehouse and at The Links Bar so please keep a look out in your ‘what’s on guide’ for more information. We have found this has been the best way to keep you up to date with what’s happening three months in advance. We have even introduced a number of adult-only classes painting classes, wine tasting, pottery, flower arranging and writing classes as requested by you. If you haven’t got your guide yet, please come and see us in the Information Suite to collect one. Finally I would like to say thank you to

everyone who has attended our events and parties so far, they have been mind-blowing! I’m delighted to announce that we have some great surprises planned towards the end of the year, pushing the “secret” anticipation of what’s coming to the boundaries! Please feel free to pop down at any time

to see me or give me a ring about anything, your ideas, not sure what’s on, want to surprise someone with a party? Whatever it is I want to hear from you. It’s about working together to ensure that everyone gets a great experience whilst visiting their holiday home. I’m only too happy to listen.

Here’s to a great summer in sunny Amble!

Scott Hughes The Old Storehouse General Manager
