Yorkshire - Chantry IT’S LADIES NIGHT!

Thank you to all our lovely ladies who put on their glad rags to join Sue and Donna for a ladies-only night. It was a fantastic evening with all things pink with everyone

enjoying this theme. Both Sue and Donna would like to say a great big thank you for helping make this event so successful. First of all we had a QVC sketch from Sue

and Donna, and gift stalls included products from The Body Shop, URUnique, Puzzle Fashion, Bags from Lamberts, Candle Lite and HerbaLife. Our very own two Annes, Anne Cleave and Anne Tetley, gave an outstanding performance modelling our selection of fashion from Puzzle. A massive thank you also goes to Kerry Kaye for all her help, and Maggie Holman and Rita Flower for running the raffle.

BRAVING IT AT BEDALE

Earlier this spring we saw some of our intrepid owners braving the high wall and rope bridge at Bedale Aerial Extreme, as part of our activity programme. The day proved to be very popular and was well enjoyed by all who took part.

We raised a great £93 towards Walking With

The Wounded, our 2016 charity of the year. All the prizes were donated by our visiting ladies who also did a terrific job introducing their various products. Lots of cocktails and chocolates were consumed and overall the night was a blast. I look forward to holding a similar event in the

autumn and once again thank you to everyone for making this such a great night.

GIN TASTING

Saturday 14th May saw our owners enjoying gin tasting in the Owners’ Lounge! We had five fine gins to sample provided from Campbells of Leyburn, Masons of Bedale and a nice little Mediterranean one to try. The afternoon was enjoyed by all and once again a great big thanks to our owners for turning out in style and making the event such a success.

BRIMHAM ROCKS

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our activity programme over the last few months. Here’s what The Tetleys said about their recent trip to Brimham Rocks. “Anne and myself had a brilliant afternoon at Brimham Rocks, especially with the one-to-one tuition with Dan! He was brilliant and we enjoyed a good three hours with him. We learnt how to rope up, how to do basic climbing and abseiling and what to look for on the rock face.

Overall it was a brilliant place to learn all the basics and we would definitely

recommend this owners! Here's Anne having a go!”

HAVE YOU MET THE TEAM?

PONY TREKKING

Did youtake part in pony trekking at Boltby in Thirsk, trekking through the chocolate box villages and across the bridle paths. Owners from Chantry joined owners from Yorkshire Dales for this great event and everyone that took part said they had a lovely time. Vince Heaton who has never ridden before gave it a go and was amazed at how much he enjoyed it. I’d love to arrange another pony trekking day so keep a look out for more information.

ARCHERY

Hosted by Alfresco Outdoor Pursuits, Sam instructed 20 owners from Yorkshire Dales and Chantry on the best way to get that all-important bullseye! The event was voted a big success and enjoyed by all who took part. Well done to Alfie who was our youngest archer on the day.

We would like to give a warm welcome to our newest members of the team, Donna as Sales Manager, Emma as Head Housekeeper, and Susan also part of the Housekeeping team!

POLITE REMINDERS

Take a look at the front of the magazine for some reminders whilst out on-park this summer. Please can we give a reminder about our pets on-park. Owners must ensure that their dogs are kept on a lead at all times and that any fouling is picked up and put in the bins provided. Again this only ensures a great environment and 5-star surroundings for all owners and team.
