Yorkshire - Littondale
WHAT A CRACKING TIME WE HAD!
If you weren’t on-park for Easter this year take a look below at how much fun we had. We kicked the day off with an Easter colouring competition, which was well supported by the children on- park. As always, there is no guarantee of the weather in Yorkshire so as we moved into the reception area the children had a great time and the competition levels between each other were definitely high. We ended up with three very worthy winners, Holly, Brandon and Abby, who received an Easter egg and the runners up all got Cadbury’s Creme Eggs.
Thank you to everyone who made it such a success!
LITTONDALE DOG SHOW
We had a great turnout for our novelty dog show on Saturday 7th May. One of our lovely owners Vicky Spink brought her own obstacles for us to use alongside some made by Kim and Elaine. Another owner, Carole Brett, was kind enough to be our impartial judge for the day. The dogs were all very well behaved, especially with each other, but when it came to balancing a biscuit on their
nose – they were only interested in eating them! To make it fair we asked the children who had brought their pets to balance Haribo sweets on their noses instead, which caused a lot of giggling as you can imagine. I think that all the owners and pets had a great time and all the dogs received a rosette and biscuits for their efforts!
WALKING WITH THE WOUNDED
ITALIAN DAY AT LITTONDALE
What a great day we had at our Italian day on 29th May! Everyone who attended had a great time, the food, music and atmosphere was great. The highlight was those delicious pizzas coming out of the wood burning stove, freshly made! I would also like to say thanks to our very own Milton Pickering for playing his music.
Keep a look out for more events like this coming up this summer.
As you may know, our charity this year is Walking With The Wounded and to support this we will be hosting events through the summer and the rest of the year. We would love you to get involved by raising as much money as possible. As part of this, the directors will be undertaking another epic journey, they will be visiting Ribble Valley on the 9th of August then will be heading off to Kettlewell, calling in at Littondale. As a company our aim is to raise over £100k during the summer for this extremely worthwhile charity.
If you are interested in being involved with organisation or as a participant, please let the office know. Turn to page 6 for more details!
THANK YOU TO CAROL BRETT
Carol Brett
Further to James’ comments, we would like to give Carol Brett a special mention in the magazine and say thank you for kindly donating flowers for our two new flower beds at the entrance of the park. We can't wait until they start flowering!
Join us on Saturday 23rd July for our second Wine Club which will be happening from 4-6pm!
We have an array of extra events happening throughout the summer, so please keep an eye out for more information about what we’ve got happening. Be sure to have a look in your calendar also!
THE WINE CLUB
Elaine hosted our first Wine Club event which was a great success. If you missed out and would like to join the club for only a £15 membership, please let Elaine or Kim know in the office. The Wine Club is being held monthly and you will receive some goodies to kick start your membership!
