CERTIFICATION FOR FLI STRUCTURES
FLI Structures is pleased to announce its attainment of CE marking certification, for steel structures, towers, masts & screw pile foundations. This has been achieved earlier than the EU’s compulsory implementation date of July 2014 under the Construction Products Directive (CPD).
COMPULSORY
CE marking will be compulsory for fabricated items in the UK by July 1st 2014 and all UK steel manufacturers fabricating steel must comply.
FACTORY PRODUCTION CONTROL (FPC)
FLI is now well placed by completing the necessary work needed, in order to gain their certification early. FLI’s FpC, management systems and welding procedures have all been certified by the Steel Construction Certification Scheme to comply with CE marking standards.

CE marking is a regulatory mark applied by the manufacturer, that is a declaration to public authorities and clients that the product satisfies required levels of health &
NEW MEASUREMENT POSSIBILITIES Working offshore also offers new measurement possibilities and to this end Oldbaum has been involved in using innovative bird monitoring solutions using tracking radar, and also underwater hydrophones to monitor marine mammals.
The position and stability of the mast platform also offers an opportunity to verify and explore the capabilities of remote sensing devices, such as LiDAR, against mast measurements.
EXPERIENCE
Oldbaum Services have a great deal of experience working on offshore met mast projects, and through inter-disciplinary interface co-ordination like to work collaboratively and positively with their different suppliers and contractors.
By building on their current relationships and fostering new ones the company hopes to carry on providing innovative, high quality offshore met masts to their clients.
